We are often reminded to recycle and often hear how much waste plastic is floating in the ocean.
But these bottles are all made after they are made.
Before we get rid of these plastics, what impact will it have on the environment to make them?

The key ingredient used to make plastic bottles is to make a quart of crude oil (liter)

Plastic beverage bottles are made of a polymer called PET, which is an abbreviation for polybendiester.

Now, if we take into account the resources needed to make an average of 21 pounds PET plastic beverage bottles we use each year, this is equivalent :-7 gallons (27 litres)of crude oil-
405 cubic feet (11,466 litres)
Gas and-50 pounds (22. 7 kg)
These fossil fuels are released at 926 cubic feet (26,208 liters)
It is equivalent to 146 inch of the balloon pollution (3. 7 meters)in diameter.
All you need to do is imagine the scale of fossil fuels we use as a country each year for a cumulative use of nearly four BILLION pound plastic beverage bottles. 
This does not mean that changing plastic to glass or aluminum is the obvious solution.
Glass manufacturing requires four times the use of the above-mentioned fossil fuels.
Next is aluminum, which takes about 2. Five times more. 
The real solution is to completely avoid disposable packaging.
Low bottled drinks-
Because it is easy to replace with reusable beverage bottles, fruit is hung for change.
This method of preventing waste before waste occurs is called zero waste.
